I LOVED this way too much! I feel like we hear so often about Georgia O'Keeffe's wardrobe, but nothing about the other artists' wardrobes. Louise is a special one.
I shop mostly secondhand, Sasha, and love finding a boon of "Dead Old Lady" clothes that have been donated - I like to think that the previous owner would love that her things are being loved and worn again. It's part of life, letting go of things and giving them new life with someone else. Sad, but also uplifting.
SO GOOD! Thank you for shining light on LB and her contributions to art AND fashion!

thank you!!
What a wonderful insight into an artist I haven’t heard of before. Look forward to learning more. ☺️🙂↕️
thank you, Alex!
That was fascinating, thank you! 💕 I found myself thinking about turning my wardrobe into art and sculpture, the idea of my clothing outliving me.
thank you!! this idea gives me both chills and joy, how beautiful yet sad it is to give clothes a second life and let them go

me too! so many treasures are waiting for the second life on resale. it’s just hard for me to think about it in relation to my clothes and my death :)
Yeah, it’s not something we really talk about-
Great post, really insightful!
